Catholic Education Foundation
CEF’s mission is to provide tuition assistance to the most financially deserving students in over 200 Catholic elementary and high schools within the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Regardless of their ethnic or religious background, tuition assistance is provided to children whose families live at or below the federal poverty level. These tuition awards allow students to attend a Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, which encompasses Los Angeles, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
Each year, CEF invites over 600 Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade students to local Catholic high schools where they experience storybooks being brought to life. CEF’s Early Reader Book Fair is an opportunity to encourage our youngest students to become lifelong readers and allow them to participate in story hour, reading activities, and festival games.
TAP (Tuition Awards Program) provides $1000 per student in Elementary Schools (Pre K to 8th grade) and $2000 to high school students. These awards have resulted in a positive impact not only on the students, but also their families and surrounding neighborhoods.
